Hobbies

I've always loved reading and it is rare to find me without a book in my hand. I have also written several short stories and I am currently working on a young adult novel. I hope to one day be able to create the transformative experience of entering a whole new world through literature that meant so much to me for a new generation of children. I also enjoy watching anime, especially since I started learning Japanese. Translation is a fascinating field and it's really exciting to be able to so easily see it in action. Even though I am not fluent in Japanese, it is still interesting to compare what I do understand of the original dialogue to the official English translation and try to understand why the translators made the choices they did.
